We carry out MOTs on cars and small vans for our customers on behalf of the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA, previously VOSA).

The cost of our MOT is the standard DVSA fee of £54.85 and we offer a FREE 10 working day partial retest period no matter where the vehicle is repaired if it fails. If the vehicle is presented for retest outside of this 10 working day period, a full test fee will apply.

PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING IMPORTANT LEGAL INFORMATION

  • PLEASE BE AWARE THAT IF THE VEHICLE HAS NOT GOT A VALID MOT CERTIFCATE, AN APPOINTMENT HAS TO BE MADE WITH AN MOT STATION BEFORE DRIVING ON THE PUBLIC ROAD TO GET TO THE MOT TEST. THIS IS IN CASE YOU ARE STOPPED BY THE POLICE SO THAT YOU CAN PROVE YOU WERE DIRECTLY ON YOUR WAY TO THE TEST.

  • IF YOUR VEHICLE FAILS THE MOT AND THERE IS STILL TIME REMAINING ON THE EXISTING MOT, THE VEHICLE IS NOT ROADWORTY AND YOU WILL BE HELD RESPONSBLE FOR ITS CONDITION FOLLOWING AN ACCIDENT OR IF STOPPED BY POLICE FOR A ROUTINE CHECK.

  • THE CATEGORY OF FAIL DETERMINES WHETHER YOU CAN DRIVE ON THE PUBLIC ROAD FOLLOWING THE TEST. ANY MAJOR CATEGORY DEFECTS WILL ALLOW YOU TO DRIVE TO A PLACE OF REPAIR AND BACK FOR A BOOKED RETEST HOWEVER, ANY DANGEROUS CATEGORY DEFECTS WILL RENDER THE VEHICLE UNROADWORTHY AND TO DRIVE ON THE PUBLIC ROAD WOULD BE BREAKING THE LAW.

  • WE MAY NOT BE ABLE TO OFFER IMMEDIATE FAILURE REPAIRS DUE TO WORKLOAD/BOOKINGS. SHOULD YOU PICK UP A DANGEROUS DEFECT AND WISH TO HAVE THE VEHICLE REPAIRED ELSEWHERE, IT WILL NEED TO BE UPLIFTED AND RECOVERED TO ITS DESTINATION TO COMPLY WITH THE LAW.

Our parts and labour guarantee applies to all of our repair work. This means that in the unlikely event that any re-work is required during the parts warranty period, or for up to 12 months following a repair, no labour or replacement parts charge will apply*. We think this is only fair for situations that are no fault of the customer.

* In cases where the rework required isn't directly as a result of the part fitted or the previous labour, or is due to a previously undiagnosed fault, standard labour and part charges will apply.
